Welcome to Little Cabin Home. John and Teresa are a music duo, focusing mainly on Bluegrass, Blues, and Country genres.
John is a multi instrumentalist, focusing on guitar, mandolin…and lately, slide guitar. He has played mandolin for more than a decade, and he has enjoyed studying in great detail the style found in Bill Monroe’s song collection, among others. The Delta blues have influenced his playing style for his entire life on guitar and now also feeds his new love of playing slide guitar.
Teresa is also a multi-instrumentalist and you will hear her playing piano and fiddle in LCH’s (Little Cabin Home’s) three new releases. She also wrote and sang these same three songs. You will love Teresa’s songwriting style as she lays out stories from her imagination. With 40 years experience on each instrument, she plays her piano and fiddle with a Country Blues vibe to emphasize the gentle, laid back mood of her songs…and a little comedy is thrown in at times.
Introducing LCH‘s three new song releases, written and performed by Teresa…
The first song is He Has a BeautifulLife (link opens in Spotify), and is also available on Apple Music (click photo below) and YouTube. It was written about Teresa’s 84 year old father who still works in his garden and yard with his old, yet dependable, squeaky wheel barrel.

The next song is I Won’t Shed a Tear (link opens in Spotify), and is also available on Apple Music (click photo below) and YouTube, and is based on a silly fictional story, about a couple going through a midlife crisis.

The last song, Making Memories One Summer Day, (link opens in Spotify) is also available on Apple Music (click photo below) and YouTube, and is about a family living frugally in the 1970s and 1980s. The three sisters used their imaginations…and a very large cardboard box…to create a playhouse. This is based on events from Teresa’s childhood as the youngest of three sisters.
